0

Condor has made 8” men’s steel toe work boots with some distinctive features. The name is “Colorado Men’s 8″ Steel Toe Work Boots.” The manufacturer claims that these Colorado work boots meet industrial standards. Yes, indeed, they are offering a perfect quality pair for multi-industry. You can use them in the restaurant, workshop, hospital and so on. The unique part I mostly like, that these boots are slip resistant and have steel toes for safety with a little price tag.

Also, You’ll find it a very satisfactory pair for a long time wearing. Some people are wearing them for 12 hour shift and have no complaints regarding comfort. You can’t use them for years, but these are somewhat durable with some care.

There are tons of information out there about these boots. Let’s dive into the details.

In-depth Review and Comparison of Condor Colorado Men’s 8″ Steel Toe Work Boots

Shoeask points: 82 out of 100

Remarks & Suggestions:

These work boots can be recommended for low price steel toe safety. You can go for it if your budget is low and searching for a safe and comfortable work boot pair. And I must say that the durability is moderately good if you take care of them from time to time.

Better for:

Well, Condor Colorado 8” boots are made for work. They’re excellent for hospitals, security services, delivery services, restaurants as well as working in a workshop. They are highly recommended for kitchen work as the outsole has extreme grip. Also, you can walk a long time for its ultra cushioning properties. It really feels like Tennis Shoes for soft polyurethane (PU) soles.

But if you work at extreme cold weather or in the snow, it’s not going to support you for a long time.

User, Expert & Trade Recognition:

Points 4/5

Condor Colorado has made reasonable user satisfaction, and most people are positive about it. These boots are perfect for those who stand for a long time at work. You can also walk a long distance without any affliction.

The manufacturer is offering these boots with genuine leather and steel safety toe with a low price, so these boots have become a popular product. The manufacturers are successful, we can say.

Indeed, some users are not very satisfied with them. Most of the dissatisfied users have a complaint about durability.

We had to give 4 out of five as these regularly rank in the top 100 selling work boots. Now they are at number 110, and there are several hundred work boots. Moreover, they’ve got a very high user rating.

Price vs. Durability:

Points 4/5

The price is meager regarding the quality. I think you won’t find a pair like this with a small price tag.

If you expect super durability, Colorado work boots are not for you. You might go for another costly pair. When you compare the price, I must say, these boots are durable. If you clean correctly and keep them dry, then they might serve you for almost 12 to 18 months. So the cost per month will be too low if it does not fall apart within 12 months or more.

Let’s see what a user said about this:

“Good quality, bought it with expecting cheap quality, but instead it’s durable long-lasting and good pricing. I recommend this.”

Comfort:

Points 5/5

You don’t need to worry about comfort.

You can easily wear them for the whole day or 12-hour shifts. The PU soles and quality padding make it more comfortable. And the insole provides way more comfort and reduces the impact on your feet.

What about toes?

Most steel toe boots are a little uncomfortable in the toe area, but these boots are not like them. The toe area is spacious so it won’t hurt your toes.

The incredible part of the boot is, it’s bendable from the toe. You can hardly find a work boot with an easily bendable feature.

Waterproof, Chemical resistance & Spill Resistant:

Points 2/5

Nope, These boots are not waterproof or chemical and spill resistant, but they support well against water. You can walk on 2-inch water on the road, and these can keep your feet dry. What if you’re in the rain? Water will leak into them. A small amount of water can’t damage it. We recommend to keep them dry and clean; you’ll get a reasonable lifetime for your pair.

Slip Resistance, Oil Resistance & Non-Marking:

Points 4/5

Condor claims that these Colorado Steel Toe boots are tested for slip and oil resistance. And yes, it is true. No one argues. Especially, PU outsole is made for excellent grip on slippery surfaces. You can efficiently work on a wet surface, tiled floor, and stairs. Those who work in the kitchen and go back and forth all day, these boots are excellent for them.

But there is a disappointment, these work boots are not “Non-Marking.” Non-marking boots come with a bigger price tag.

Toe Box, Safety Cap & Abrasion Resistant:

Points 5/5

These work boots have come with a roomy toy box so that you can comfortably spread your toes. Most steel toe boots are made with a wide toe box for foot health and comfort. And yes, They have got a quality toe cap for added protection and shock absorption. And you know what, the outsole and toe safety cap is tested for abrasion resistance.

Break-in Time & Fitting:

Points 4/5

Yes, They need a little break-in time, but not more than seven days.

If you get the right size, you don’t need to worry about fittings. Colorado boots will give you way more comfort regarding the fitting issue. Trust me; you won’t be disappointed.

Electrical Hazard & Static Dissipative:

Points 2/5

Here is a disappointment that Condor Colorado work boots are neither EH nor ESD. I don’t recommend these boots for people working in cable-inflicted industries or an electrical workshop.

Style & Presentable:

Points 5/5

Indeed, work boots are not for a party. Perhaps, you won’t wear it with a suit and go for a formal dinner.

But these are ideally good looking for a work boot pair. Mostly, the side profile design where they use thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is too eye-catching. The “full grain leather” boots are most attractive to me.

Breathable & Insulation:

Points 3/5

These are breathable as you can see in its image.

The full upper part is not insulated for its breathability, but some parts are well covered. I’ve already told you that, these boots are not for snow and ice. But it’s pretty supportive during winter. And for long-wearing comfort, I must mention that the TPU side profile is specially designed for these facilities.

Leather, Upper, Lace & Heel:

Points 4/5

Condor is using quality genuine leather for these Colorado work boots. The upper is all-leather except the sides and collar. In those parts, they’ve used TPU for better breathability. And the lace is moderately good, but they haven’t placed a speed lace feature.

And for the heel, I don’t want to say anything. You can hear from a user:

“Love the arch support and heel alignment that the boot naturally offers. As well as the high ankle support. Superior boot, for economical pricing.”

Tongue, Collar & Weight:

Points 4/5

The tongue is overall good, but isn’t well padded. Wear these for a long time, and it might feel like the laces are pressing into the feet. In contrast, the collar is well padded with mesh fabric lining for better comfort.

And what about weight? Well, as a steel toe work boot, these are moderately lightweight. You can run and ride bicycles wearing them (you shouldn’t keep doing it though.)

Insole, Midsole, Shank & Arch Support:

Points 5/5

These boots have fairly good removable insoles. But you can replace them with good quality aftermarket insoles to ensure the best comfort. You know what, most high quality work boots have not come with good quality insoles. Indeed, it’s a trick of manufacturers. They want to sell their insoles by not giving comfortable insoles with the boots.

Colorado work boots are made by “AM-TECH® Direct Soling Technology.” This affluent technology ensures the durability of soles. There are no separate midsole and outsole. The full sole is formed in one part and attached to the upper. This type of construction ensures that the outsole never falls apart.

A remarkable part of these boots are the steel shank with flexible and bendable facilities.

However, I’ve already given you a user review about arch support. Indeed, It’s providing pretty good support rather then you climb something like wind turbines; it might hurt your bottom arch.

Outsole, Construction, Puncture Resistance & Sewing:

Points 4/5

The outsole is made of synthetic material polyurethane (PU) for comfort and good grip. But this type of outsoles are pretty soft and not puncture resistance. However, the stitching is way better looking as well as sturdy. You can see the color matching of threads. It does not contrast or reflective from the leather color. I’m pretty sure, the threads will not come out after using a long time.

Anti-odor & Cleanable:

Points 3/5

The manufacturer has not used the Antimicrobial Treatment on Colorado work boots, but the more ventilation what is used in these boots keeps less odor in the inside. Yes, these boots are easy to clean.

See what people say about cleaning:

“I work with cement and dirt a lot, and they just wipe clean. A great less expensive alternative to red-wings.”

Warranty, Return & Post Purchase Service Policy:

Points 5/5

The manufacturer is giving 12 months warranty on all of their boots. If the product has defects in materials or workmanship, then they will replace it at no charge to you. But if the product is damaged by regular use or excessive and abusive wear conditions will not get any warranty. And you can also get a full refund without shipping charge for the unworn condition within 30 days of purchase.

Brand Faith:

Points 5/5

Condor Outdoor Products Inc. is in the market for almost 20 years. They are very popular for their outdoor products, performance apparel, footwear, and other tactical accessories. Condor has been producing quality products at affordable prices. Definitely, they are trustworthy.

Special & Uncommon Features:

Points 5/5

Steel shank.

12-month warranty.

Good looking TPU side design.

AM-TECH® Direct Soling Technology.

Oil and slip resistant outsole with a low price tag.

Cons:

Points 4/5

No speed laces.

Not recommended for hard labor. You can use them as hard labor boots, but it’ll deduct its durability. If you work at a hospital, restaurant, warehouse, or as a security guard, then it won’t disappoint you.

These boots might be uncomfortable for extreme cold weather.

The outsole is not last for years. That’s because of using PU for flexibility.

Not anti-odor, but have a sound ventilation system for less odor.

Editor’s Boost:

Points 5/5

These boots are best for an extremely slippery surface such as a kitchen. If you are planning to buy cheap boots with extra comfort and safety, then go for Colorado steel toe work boots.
