Did you notice extra leather/rubber coatings here and there?

That’s because they provide reinforcement with Ever-Guard™ leather in vulnerable areas of the boot. They designed these sweet beasts to last extensively. Even the basic leather is abrasion resistant which means rubbing, scraping, erosion or wearing out is delayed.

They provide better midsoles for fluffy cushioning.Guess what? These are extra durable as well.

Simply put together: If you are very rough and sort of careless, count for 8 months.

The membrane does not permit water through it. The deal is, you do not get wet, messed up feet. If your footwear are waterproof, you are safe from pathogens which can intrude through the skin. Why wear hard safety toes if you do not have a risk of exposing the toes to extreme pressure, heat, sharp things or heavy machinery falling on your forefoot?

Yes, we know that people trust steel more than anything when it comes to toe caps. But that does not make steel the most viable option, does it? Composite safety toe caps are lighter, insulator and non-metallic protection friendly hence better than their metallic counterparts. These are asymmetrical which is naturally toe-tip friendly and consequently healthy.

These are not magnetic either; and there’s no issues regarding metal detectors. However, that does not describe everything. There’s one more thing to consider:

Timberland PRO rubber toe protector adds more to your toe protection. These also strengthen the abrasion resistance and durability.

It is easy to step on a live electrical circuit, open wire, electrified conductor or apparatus. By providing underfoot and all around protection, this pair of boots would ensure the electrical hazard (EH) safety.

Boondock boots meet ASTM F2412-11, ASTM F2413-11 and ASTM F2892-11 electrical hazard standards. Everything other than the eyelets are non-metallic. Even the comp safety toe and shank are not made out of steel, aluminum or any other super conductor or metal.

Style and Presentable

Let’s get it right:These are not casual, snear or oxford shoes. They are neither party props. Built to last, protect and provide comfort- that’s what concern the most. Yes there are some innovative design, looking very masculine and would look badass with uniforms.

Breathable and Insulation

The thing is, if these boots were super breathable, they would have lost these features:

EH, waterproof, safety toe, abrasion resistance, longevity and maybe more.

Feet may sweat a bit and eventually you may get to know a bit of stink but it’s not fully preventable as we need other badass features. Instead, these will provide more safety and utmost comfort. These are not super breathable, but you don’t die in them.

Boots that are suitable for summer are not the same in the cold. Is winter knocking at the door? Prevent snow from making you cold, as people generally feel colder if their feet are exposed.

A busy crew working in a factory under pressure would never want the feet warmer, sweaty and stinky. Insulation is a big no-no during summer. Yes, you can choose between insulated and non-insulated Boondock boots. For winter, you bet that the feet somewhat solely determine the degree of your feelings and wellness. Get an insulated pair for that time, they are available.

Leather, Upper, Lace and Heel

Boondock boot’s premium leather upper is like missile silo- super sturdy. Laces and eyelets are strong. Ever-Guard™ leather is the best. The external heel cup is rigid and farm, which provide lateral stability.

Tongue, Collar and Weight

You are not working out of a boring paper pusher desk, that’s why you need to lock your upper openings with fluffy comfy tongue and well-padded collar. The tongue is completely gusseted so that it can keep dirt and rocks out of the inner parts. Top collar is contrast padded.

Oh, have you seen a `hanged-man’s tongue syndrome in the shoes and boots where those parts tend to choose a side? Right or left? Here in Boondock, they keep themselves in the middle.

Despite looking bulky, these are surprisingly lightweight. Surely, they are not sandals or flip-flops! A pair of size 9 would weigh just about 2010 grams or 4.44 pounds. Not heavier compared to work boot class.

Insole, Midsole, Shank and Arch Support

You know why there’s soaring and pain after a long hard shift? That’s because, the pressure points did not distribute weight and motion during your grueling work hours. There are certain areas of the feet struggling to get rid of constant pinpointed impacts. Meet contoured insoles coming with the package. They provide max support at vital pressure and impact parts. You would not need a prescribed arch support insert which is great in terms of extra effort and a lot of money leaking.

Outsole, Construction and Sewing

Synthetic sole. The thermal plastic urethane (TPU) outsole has double density helping with traction and wear-out issues. All the parts are stitched together with extreme professional caution.

Boondock are meant to be a bit wider, sometimes resulting into slightly oversized structure.

As we said earlier, they can’t be super breathable and as a result you may sweat within which is true for most of the work boots.
