In-depth Review and Comparison of Wolverine JetStream Shoes

Remarks & Suggestions

Just don’t buy these.  There’s a 60-70% chance that you’ll be disappointed.

Cons

0/5

There are a number of good sides, but let’s talk about cons first as we couldn’t recommend these for you. It’s such a disappointment!

  1. Durability? You most probably will end up using them for  2 weeks to 6 months.
  2. “Flimsy materials”, is the first thing you would realize in the second month of use.
  3. They are somewhat small, tight and running narrow. What about 2 sizes larger? Well, I’m not kidding. Some of the users had said so!
  4. What’s on top of that? You might not feel your feet are placed well. It is likely to seem you’re not finding right balance.
  5. Too permeable for water and what about dust?
  6. You must vacuum them off to clean the accumulated dust.
  7. Flat inside. No arch support whatsoever.
  8. Plantar fasciitis might flare up.
  9. Mostly fabric on the uppers.
  10. And the interior mesh lining? They just tend to disappear over time. Why? They can’t stand your feet-friction.
  11. Tongue might slide off.
  12. Free insoles are usually of poor quality but these have paper thin products. The EVA gets flattened easily, after a few days.
  13. Outsole quality is clearly very bad. Not solid built.
  14. Soles wear out so quickly! Tread simply start peeling off.
  15. So soft outsoles! You will be able to feel stones and stuff beneath.
  16. And they’re not so slip resistant after a couple of weeks or so.
  17. There are reports saying that you might end up finding unequal toe caps!
  18. Guess what? the caps might rub against your toes and feel tight even when you’re sitting.
  19. Wider shoes don’t help the rubbing issues!
  20. There are some “not so common” cons, such as, the eyelets might fail and the laces might hurt you.

User, Expert & Trade Recognition

2/5

They failed measurably.

Price vs Durability

2/5

Price is low but it does not help at all. Nobody wants to wear a pair for 2 weeks to 4 months.

Comfort

3/5

They take some time to get used to ( I would not use the break in words for them). Then you feel very good for  one to four weeks. Sometimes, it might seem good for 3-6 months. Then comfort starts to fade away.

Waterproof, Chemical resistance & Spill Resistant

2/5

No waterproof in practice. Flimsy materials in the uppers and in the lower parts are anything but chemical resistant.

Slip Resistance, Oil Resistance & Non Marking

2/5

They remain slip resistant for a month at best. If that’s the scenario, how could we talk about oil resistant?

Toe Box, Safety Cap & Abrasion Resistance

3/5

They have excellent protective toe caps. The boxes are not wide at all. They fall apart as soon as possible, not abrasion resistant per se.

Break-in Time & Fitting

3/5

You might find them comfortable right out of the box only if they fit well which is a rare case secnario.

Electrical Hazard & Static Dissipative

5/5

Yeah, they’re EH.

Style & Presentable

5/5

They look fabulous.

Breathable & Insulation

4/5

Super breathable. No insulation.

Leather, Upper, Lace & Heel

2/5

Crappy uppers. Not so good laces and eyelets. The heels are not supportive in a number of ways.

Tongue, Collar & Weight

3/5

They are as light as you can imagine. It’s really good when it comes to weight. The tongues don’t hold up well. Not so fluffy collars and they are corrosive.

Insole, Midsole, Shank & Arch Support

3/5

As we said earlier, crappy insoles and there’s not arch support.

Outsole, Construction, Puncture Resistance & Sewing

2/5

The outsole is as bad as it could be. Cement construction. Lowest grade of puncture resistant, you should not expect anything from these outsoles. The sewing does not help as they wear out within months.

Anti-odor & Cleanable

2/5

No bacterial treatment. They’re not easy to clean, even if it’s mere dust.

Warranty, Return & Post Purchase Service Policy

2/5

People get stuck with them after the first month when they have nothing to do.

Brand Faith

5/5

Wolverine is awesome! That’s the only thing Jetstreams have. A name.

Special & Uncommon Features

4/5

Lightweight, good looking, carbon nano toes and things like that.

Editor’s Boost

0/5

You can’t buy them and I can’t give any points here.
